Faith expands beyond limitations while respecting limitations.
Heaven is unlimited. Earth is limited.
The prayer for heaven to come to earth (the kingdom)
is a prayer of faith
that exceeds earthly limitation
while respecting earthly limitation.Failure to expand beyond limitation is unbelief.
Failure to respect limitation is presumption.The Father upbraids both.
The Spirit must lead us
in the healthy expansion of our faith beyond our limitation
in the context of respecting our limitations.Failure to exercise faith beyond limitation shrivels life.
Failure to respect limitation destroys life.Higher faith does not condemn lesser faith
but meets it where the lesser is
to bring it to where the higher is.Obtaining this balance in the Spirit between expansion and subjection
is the meaning of the “perfect” will of God
and the true fulfillment of stewardship.It is also the perfection of “sonship.”
True sonship
acknowledges the governing fatherly nature of the Spirit beyond the earth
while respecting the motherly nature of our mortality yet confined to the earth.The Spirit of sonship leads us back and forth between these awarenesses.
Consciousness of our limitation is our “weaker vessel.”
While our limitation consciousness must not govern us, it must be respected.The “glorious liberty” of sonship and perfected stewardship
comes through the final release from mortality,
after mortality has been perfectly respected.
