MINISTRY EXPOSURES, IRAN CONFLICT, HOLY
CREATOR
Today I sense to provide some overview commentary on two streams of spiritual activity in force over this present season as well as offer perceptions on the present area of spiritual interest over which the Spirit is engaging my own heart.
The two streams of spiritual activity pertain to the continued social media exposure of long time Charismatic movement leaders and to the larger American political developments, especially respecting the recent Iranian attacks.
Social Media Ministry Exposures
Beginning with the Charismatic leadership exposures through social media: Let me first repeat that, as a rule, I do not follow social media ministry. I have made this very clear over the years to my readers, encouraging readers not to take their prophetic direction or sense of prophetic reality from what anyone one is prophesying or teaching over YouTube or other platforms. (For a refresher on this, please review the article “Don’t Believe a Word of It” posted in 2016).
That said, as the breaking open of immorality exposure in the prophetic church has continued since late 2023, mainly through the vehicle of social media, I have found it necessary to maintain some peripheral awareness of what is happening through this means.
The situation is this: Until recently, the prominent mainline prophetic and other such respected “megalith” ministries have succeeded in maintaining control over their appearances as respectable ministries. They have been able to protect a very well-crafted image in such a way as to insulate themselves from any internal scrutiny or accountability for their private behaviors. The controlled image has left the body of Christ to rightly “believe the best” by assuming nothing but purity, honesty and integrity on their parts in the conducting of their ministries.
But now, the Spirit is using the very power of electronic media by which these ministries have maintained their images to expose their falsity so as to reveal the true internal nature behind their works. It is not unlike the Lord to do this. The Lord will use the very thing we trust to build our own image and protect us from exposure to destroy our image and bring us to exposure. It is called poetic justice.
The Lord is adept at using one faulty vessel to punish another faulty vessel, as seen throughout the Old Testament. Jesus warned that what we say in secret will be published from the rooftops. Such publishing is not necessarily more holy than what has been spoken in secret to be exposed, yet it is still of His doing. For He indeed said He would fight against the corrupt ones within the church “with the sword of My mouth” (Rev. 2:16).
As for the social media exposing ministries, a number of them appear to have quite pure, sincere redemptive motives and attitudes. I include here such voices as Jon Mark Baker & Jeff Symonds, Steven Powell, Wanda Alger, Joshua Simone, Ron Cantor and Mike Winger.
Others however (such as John Collins, Steven Kozar, and Justin Peters) oppositely demonstrate largely or completely self-promotional, cynical, unbelieving attitudes toward the modern supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit altogether. These thrive on the name they are making for themselves as “exposers of evil in the church.” (To these I give no ear, despite any accuracies they may have.)
Still others display mixed attitudes between these poles, among whom I would include the spearhead exposer, Julie Roys.
We want to observe all this from a safe distance without becoming directly embroiled in these exposures (unless of course we are in the immediate orbit of these ministries and God has called us to that). What we want rather is to perceive the larger picture in what the Lord is working and apply it to our own local situation, wherever that may be.
A generational factor is in play here. Many of these now truly called to exposure ministry are of a later generation than the “fathers” they are exposing. It is not unlike the call on Gideon to destroy his father’s images (Jdg. 6:25-31). These fathers represent a failing ministry wineskin which the Lord has accommodated until now, but is itself now obsolete undergoing replacement by the Lord.
We are watching the beginning of the fall of the electronically built image-based church in America, where as much or more of the church’s substance has been built on image than on the Holy Spirit. This is essentially a recap of what we were saying in last year’s article, “The Great God ‘Ministry’.” Nothing has changed. It has only continued to progress and branch out. Eventually, as the images keep failing and falling under exposure, we will see a new wineskin appear that is fit for a newer wine that is yet to fall on this latest generation.
The Trump-Israel-Iran Conflict
To most observers, especially in the church, the recent joint American-Israeli strikes to take out Iran’s nuclear capability is seen as a tremendous victory for God in maintaining the preservation of Israel as a nation-state. This may be true, but if so, it is true only from a very superficial perspective. This is because, as we detailed in last year’s article “Tale of Two Seeds,” there is an intertwining of purpose between God and satan in everything that happens pertaining to modern Israel that leads to the final concluding events of the end times.
In the events that are happening and developing, it is not as simple as to say that God is on one side of a visible event and the devil is on the opposite side, as if to say “God won” and the “devil lost” as a result of these strikes. The reality is that there are multi-layers of purpose between God and satan behind any event to where if a certain outcome at one level may mean a win or a loss to One or to the other, it can be played to an opposite outcome between them at another level.
For instance, there is no way to know how the destroying of Iran’s known nuclear capability on its own soil has worked to strengthen its unknown nuclear capability in hidden sleeper cells already cloistered away in various parts of America to destroy America from within. The ostensible victory in Iran gives Iran the hidden edge of surprise when it is ready to destroy America’s cities from within America, because America is so confident in its own capabilities. It is foolish to believe that the devil does not have an alternate game plan in all this based in untold secret alliances with other nations who are also already hidden away in America. Even the government admits they are here.
Similarly, there is no way to know how much further the serpent seed in Israel has been emboldened by Israel’s success in Iran to advance its own plans for establishing further its own dominion in Israel against the Lord and against His Anointed as they labor to reestablish their false Talmudic religion through a third temple from which they believe they will be able to rule the world. Satan is well at work in the heart of Israel. He will use any favorable event of God in Israel to erect his own throne there, as well as any unfavorable event to destroy Israel.
And again, there is no way to know how much further Donald Trump has been emboldened to secretly believe he is the real president of Israel and the rest of the world as a result of these strikes. There is no way to tell how this apparent victory will work to bring Israel into final accord with its enemies in a way that not only exalts the Talmudists, but leaves the temperamental Trump standing as the “Prince of Peace” until for whatever reason he changes his mind and turns against Israel. Trump is a pragmatic peace maker to the purpose of his own exaltation. That was made clear from his inaugural speech which we studied early this year. Trump is not a selfless benevolent peace maker as was, say, Ronald Reagan.
Only a church fixated on eternal and spiritual values can perceive what we are saying here. A church fixated on fleshly visible outcomes cannot perceive this, but can only see unidimensionally: Trump = good; America = good; Israel = good; Bibi Netanyahu = good; Iran = bad, etc., etc. This is the level of vision that put Jesus on the cross, and it is the level of vision that will send the church into the wilderness when the great tribulation hits, and we realize we were putting our trust in the wrong man and the wrong people and the wrong military and the wrong economy all the time.
The truly good thing overall however is this: Despite the multi-levels of competing purpose between God and satan in the present events, visible and invisible, God is going to win out the way He says He will in Revelation and in the prophets. He will be the glorious victor over a destroyed America and a destroyed Israel and a destroyed world, out of all of whom He will have preserved to Himself a glorious remnant people—a people able to rise to Him and return with Him to take up final authority to establish the manifest kingdom of God over this fallen world.
The Holy Creator and His Creation
This last topic is the result only of my own contemplations on the Lord and His relationship to this fallen creation. This requires much more than I will say here, but for now, it is only to bring forward this one point:
A dual condition exists pertaining to God wherein 1) to create at all, God must forever retain a distinction between who He Is as eternal Creator and the limited creation He makes (which distinction defines His holiness); and yet, 2) to have any meaningful relationship with His creation, God must stoop to speak and interface with creation on creation’s limited level. (There is no way for a finite creation to interface with an infinite eternal God on His level.)
Due to this divine duality condition between eternal and finite, we always witness in scripture an interplay within God wherein He maintains His superior governmental holiness above, beyond and apart from creation, while He simultaneously speaks and relates to us on our level. In relating to His creation at all, God is always in a state of Self-limitation subject to His eternal holiness.
This applies also to God’s desire for us and His passion for all creation. That divine creational passion is limited, subject to His holiness separating Him as Creator from our created essence. It could be no other way. Otherwise His own desire for us would eliminate His holiness, making us equal to Him, and making Him to be an idolater of us, His creation.
Creation’s violation of this dual divine condition is responsible for all the chaos and conflict to which creation has been subject from the start. When Lucifer and then Adam said, “I will be as God,” that was creation’s attempt to destroy the eternal God’s holiness while entertaining relationship with Him. This triggered the universal conflict that has existed ever since.
From that point, God’s redemptive plan has been to restore the divine duality condition wherein He can once again enter into Self-subjectional fellowship with man while maintaining His holy differentiation from him. Up to and until the effecting of this reconciliation in principle through Christ’s death, God has been compelled to take a military position with respect to creation until the cause for the conflict has been factually terminated by the full outworking of Christ’s death in the universe. Creation, not God, created the conflict. And the only reason God ever had to assume a military capacity as “the Lord of Hosts” is because of creation’s challenge to His holiness.
These thoughts lead us to brief consideration of the Book of Revelation. In a word, the book is about the outworking of Christ’s reconciling an earthly people to the divine holiness-creational rapport in context of cosmologic conflict due to creation’s first violation of that duality.
After addressing the churches as the targeted recipients of this revelation, chapter 4 opens with a scene establishing the universal supremacy of the holiness of God. The scene lays the foundation for the entire cosmology of conflict following. In it, we see nothing but creatures and elders ceaselessly falling down to proclaim the holiness of God.
This proves how that God’s distinction from creation is the governing principle behind every other creational dealing God has. The closer any creature comes to God, the more it is compelled by nature to declare His separateness from creation. This separation can never be violated and is defended by consuming fire, approachable only to the degree that those approaching have been made holy as possessions of God in conformance to the divine duality principle.
This scene is followed by the chapter 5 presentation of the slain Lamb before the throne. The Lamb is presented as the reconciler in principle whereby a portion of mankind is brought back into conformity with the divine duality principle. The purchase has been completed. However, the reconciliation still has to be worked out in fact across the ages. The scroll given to the Lamb unveils the process by which that reconciliation is to be outworked in the universe. It is a process of utter conflict in response to the inherent conflict under which creation already exists because of its original violation of the holiness-creational rapport.
Chapters 6 though 20 proceed then to unroll the effecting of the completed reconciliation process whereby those purchased back to God come into complete restoration to the holiness-creational rapport. They are brought to the place where they, like the creatures and elders of chapter 4, can approach God’s celestial eternal holiness while entertaining His loving fellowship on their re-creational level. But this process entails an unavoidable subjection to severe conflict with the world order of men and angels who will not find redemption through the Lamb’s reconciliation but who will instead find their destiny on the backside of God’s consuming fire of separation from Him.
Chapters 21-22 reveal to us the final outworking of the reconciliation under New Creation conditions wherein the divine duality condition of holiness-creational rapport has been fully restored, terminating all further creation vs. deity conflict, and the Lord God is never more to be seen in military garb. The cosmological war is over.
As we proceed over time, I expect to have more to say in developing the points of this article about God’s eternal relationship to us as finite new creations.
