NO DISTRACTIONS OF ANY KIND

First Love Ministry Update January 2, 2025

January 2, 2025

Greetings to the Royal Priesthood!

The theme of this ministry update is “No distractions of any kind.” These words come from the song Made Up Mind by Geron Davis that came out in the Integrity Hosanna worship music series during the 1990s. They are the Lord's concluding words to me coming out of our annual set apart time called Virgin Watch about which I have written you before. These words are found in company with the exhortation of Jesus:

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it." Mt. 7:13-14

In this case, the gate we are talking about is not the gate to saving new birth. Rather, we are talking now about the gate to immortality and the doorway into the wedding supper of the Lamb. And we are discussing this in context of what is occupying your mind in the face of the present virtual technology (VT) onslaught, a road that indeed leads to great destruction as portrayed in Revelation.

As the audio-visual information technology tide rises higher and higher, you have a choice to make, not just “each and every day” as the song says, but with “each and every thought.” The minds of God's people are being stolen every hour by the serpent's demanding VT flood (Rev. 12:15) which is comprised of nothing but distraction from the hearing and keeping of the word of God.

What used to be the ordinary occupations of life are now all captured by the demand to interface with instantaneous communications with others at all times, whether at work, or in one's “free time.” For most people, there is no longer such a thing as “free time” for the mind, because even when we don't have to work, we are still enslaved to having to “text” people and to the compulsion to engage instant social media. Worse still, we are taking all our cues for intercession and spiritual direction based on this noise!

Broad is the way that leads to destruction.” We could re-translate this to read, “Broad is the mind that leads to destruction.” In the world, we have historically and repetitively heard of the virtue of having a “broad mind.” While that is indeed a virtue when it comes to considering viewpoints before passing judgments, it is not a virtue when it comes maintaining a mind under spiritual discipline toward obtaining immortality.

In order to maintain a spiritually disciplined mind under government of the word of God and the Voice of the Lord, one must have a narrowly focused mind set on the Lord, and only on the Lord. We must have momentary hearing and discernment of what He is trying to tell us amid the overwhelming bombast of both all the surrounding noise and amidst all our immediate relationships.

The squeeze is on. The increasing demands of the noise force us to have to “downsize” our mental space in order to stay focused on our eternal hope and expectation. The Lord is actually using the noise to force us to do this, because such narrowness is indeed what leads to our final translation. If your mind is soaking up all the noise coming at you and your spirituality is being directed by that, there is no way you will be able to enter through the narrow gate into immortality.

It doesn't matter if we are talking about the world's noise over the airwaves and broadband, or if we are talking about the noise coming from all our immediate natural and spiritual relationships in the course of our calling. Our saturated awareness of ministerial callings, relational involvements, demands and decisions can be (and in most cases are) just as great a source of distraction to our centeredness of internal focus on the Father.

I say “the Father” on purpose, because that is exactly what Jesus said. If you believe what I am saying is overboard,” then you have not grasped the true sense of what Jesus meant in His numerous extensive discourses on living “only by the Father.” Jesus taught us the meaning of mental discipline under the momentary awareness of the Father's indwelling Presence and direction of all thought, hearing and speaking. And this is from the lips of an immortal. This is the “Pattern Son.”

Jesus teaches us what it mentally costs to live as an immortal. And if you think you're going to saunter into the rapture while boozed up on all the noise around you, including that of the innumerable “YouTube prophets” and even your own calling, you are going to be in for a shocking awakening when the time comes for that narrow gate to open, and you can't see it....when that trumpet audible only to the quiet spirit sounds, and you can't hear it.

The developing world tribulation is a blessing in disguise. That is because its instant tyrannical demands on our minds and souls are just what we need to compel us into the narrow momentary mental discipline necessary to not merely survive and keep sanity, but to actually make it through the birthing squeeze into glorification. Once we reach glorification, we will be on an entirely different celestial mental plane that can never be touched by this “beast,” but will instead cause us to overpower it and bring it to its end. (Believe me, we will not be overthrowing the beast while still in this flesh.)

This developing tribulation is coinciding with my own increasing physical and mental weakness with age, marking my own increasing helplessness to take care of myself, as is the case for many of you readers also. As we age out, we become more dependent than ever before on the Father to supply us the strength to mentally and physically continue, especially if we are not trusting the systems of men to support us. (And as an aside, if you are such an aging one, and you have not been convinced by the Lord yet that you are supposed to die, then let me challenge you to believe for a Joshua and Caleb physical impartation from the Lord to keep pressing on toward that day of Christ!)

A turn is taking place in this ministry based on what I have written here. Over the recent years, months, weeks and especially these last days, the Father has captured my awareness by the constant drawing to listen to the Book of Revelation and the words of Christ from the book of John, multiple times a week. My own mind is being refashioned under this process. I am expecting over the next period of time to be breaking open to you the book of Revelation as never before comprehended for its breadth of consistency and depth of particularity in presenting to us our gateway for translation. More will be added to our previous series on Unpacking the Book of Revelation which I encourage all to re-read.

I remain as “astonished” as was John at what is transpiring about us now. And I am uber-impressed by the extensive intensity the Lord gives to meting out His vengeance on this world system and especially on the harlotry of that religious megalopolis in our very own land that rides upon it and commands the attention of the commerce of the whole earth. And I can only be tragically amused at the utter tomfoolery of our very own “prophetic-intercessory” people who believe it's their job to save and to “make great again” this world city-state, and to tame this beast under their own watch care.

So get ready. Heed this word against mental distraction and soul imbalance. Your eternal destiny depends on it. Where and how you end up in the manifest Kingdom is at stake. Get a grip, and get into that secret place with the Father like never before. Put off all the sources of noise in your life you can in order to find this narrow gate to immortal eternal life. And watch for more from this ministry in the coming days to help you do just that.

Blessings to all,

Chris Anderson
