The Transition to End Time Mosaic Authority

Rev. 15:2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God. 3 And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations! 4 "Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For all the nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."

(In view of what has once again come upon America as an extremely anxious political year marked by prophetic calls to spiritual alarm, the forthcoming teaching will have special significance.)

The Lord continues to have us mine His stories of old for their prophetic value today. He plays out His purposes through history in revolving cycles. Therefore patterns of events seen in earlier times are repeated in later times. Old Testament prophecies witness to this truth, having multiple fulfilments in multiple time frames.

With that in mind, we understand that the body of Christ can today see the unfolding of prophetic patterns typified in the lives of various Old Testament playersmost notably Elijah, Moses, Gideon, Daniel, Joseph and John the Baptist. It is from such a spirit that I have written before about our coming Exodus from the world system and most lately about our picking up the staff of Moses to face down lucifer's snakes en route to our deliverance.

Centered on Moses, todays article aligns with these previous themes, working to form a bridge between them. Today we want to look at the developmental aspects of Moses' authority between the burning bush and the court of Pharaoh as it applies to where God is taking the church today.

The early story of Moses is the story of God's developing a chosen leader to be His touch point of deliverance for an entire nation. What God did with Moses, He is doing again in our day as we approach the Exodus of Revelation 15--the time when God delivers the larger Church (the one and only true Christian nation) from servitude under the tyrannical world commercial system and into final immortality. This external deliverance envisions our internal salvation from the root of all evil (ie, the love of money) and this ministry's other prophetic illuminations on the New Gentiles, the bringing of God's obscure wilderness people back into authority in the larger body of Christ, etc.

The coming rise of the wilderness people into authority requires a special notice. Whenever we are talking about restoring the spirit of Moses, or Elijah or of any of the past wilderness saints, we are talking about a corporate revival. Unlike John the Baptist on whom the spirit of Elijah came individually, the end times spirit of Elijah will be restored in a company of believers. This is equally true with the end times spirit of Moses. In fact, our brother Leland Earls has written significantly on the end time Moses company of saints.

From the Wilderness to the Court

So let's make a few observations about the transition of Moses from desert shepherd to Egyptian courtier and see what we can learn from this what is ahead for the Moses people and the church today. This brief study will not cite all the prophetic patterns to be found in God's elevation of Moses from the wilderness, but it will key in on some of the more important ones.

First of all, let's note that before Moses ever went to the desert, he got his start in the court of Egypt. He was raised in Pharaoh's very household. This pictures what we have said elsewhere about the next revelation of Christ to the "new gentiles." The new gentiles, as we have been calling them, are going to be the major leadership touch points for the final mortal move of God out of this world system.

These are people who did not get their pedigree within the slave ghetto culture of the church and its seminary training, though they do have some fundamental natural tie to the church in the way that Moses was himself a Hebrew. Rather, they are a people who had their central training in schools of the world's legal and financial systems, who will have come to have their own unique revelation of the Lord outside the normal church-going venues. They will not be the "Peters" and "Jameses" from within the church, but will be the "Stephens" and the "Apolloses" coming to the "Gospel II" revealed in that day:

Rev. 14:6 And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, having an eternal gospel to preach to those who live on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people; 7 and he said with a loud voice, "Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters."

            First Consigned to the Desert

Moses of course ends up in the desert out of a mistaken timing in implementing deliverance of God's people, something for which He had an internal sense of destiny. This follows through in the recent generations of those who have prematurely sought through somewhat carnal means to bring about political liberation to the church and the people at large from the increasingly oppressive and corrupt financial and governmental systems, especially in America and the West. All such moves have failed, relegating any leaders in these areas to backwater isolation or "exile." (Notable among such failed visions was Pat Robertsons 1988 bid for the United States Presidency.)

Of course, the Moses story is not limited to the New Gentiles, but also portrays the many prophetic wilderness believers sent into exile for their zealous youthful attempts to bring deliverance to the church from corrupt church leaderships. The bulk of most readers here at First Love Ministry and other wilderness oriented prophetic ministries are believers who have suffered such fates. And for many years such believers have been consigned to the back side of the desert as was Moses.

So we are looking at two strands of desert believers who will make up God's Moses company. One comprises those who actually began in the courts of the world system without much real exposure to the church as we know it. Out of a heart of moral integrity but without a real revelation of the Lord yet, these "new gentiles" have sought to bring some kind of political or moral reform to "the system," but were cast out. The other strand is that of prophets from within the church who have been cast out into spiritual exile for having sought to bring prophetic reform to the church.

Going forth in this study, we will treat these two strands as one in discussing this Moses company, however that relationship gets worked out. Somewhere in the course of revelation and empowerment, these two strands will unite in purpose. For now, I will only note that most exiled Moses-class wilderness believers as we know them are from the church culture, not the non-church culture. Consequently, our vision has not been so much for deliverance from the actual political and economic world system, but only for the church's spiritual deliverance from this world straight into glory. That would also be the main vision of most readers of this ministry.

But lets be clear. This end time Exodus is not just about the church's deliverance into immortality, but is set in context of the church's deliverance from the actual political-commercial system of the world. That is what we have been saying for years now in the call to kingdom responsibility. The deliverance of Revelation 15 is a literal deliverance from the world system.

Yes folks, you are going to lose your social security numbers, your drivers licenses and all your "government issued IDs" in this process. So if you have not re-oriented your thinking in that direction yet, it is now time to do so. (If you are a budding "new gentile," your vision toward actual and literal deliverance from the corrupt world system is already native to you, but you still await the burning revelation of the fiery God who will actually make this real to you. Keep reading.)

            The Burning Bush

This brings us to the burning bush. The burning bush speaks of the new revelation of Christ to the end time Moses company of wilderness outcasts of whatever strand. The burning bush is the place of the Lord's commissioning and baptizing unto the actualized ministry of deliverance and exodus. Already that burning bush is beginning to appear within the hearts of the outcasts.

But don't forget, the burning bush encounter happens where? It happens in the desert. It happens in the secret place. It happens in the place of outcasting--before there is any release and engagement back with the oppressed church or with Pharaoh. That is where the blueprints for our final deliverance from this world system into immortality are being birthed. And they are being birthed now in the heart of the Moses company!

            The Rod and the Serpent

It is also at the burning bush that Moses is commissioned with God's authority in the form of his staff. This ordinary shepherd's staff  is converted into the miraculous symbol of divine authority. It is the rod that will be thrown down in Pharaohs court and that will be raised to part the Red Sea! That rod is established here.

Even so God is taking the shepherds staff of the wilderness outcasts--the staff of humility learned among back desert sheep--and converting it to the miraculous rod of authority to be displayed before the great body of God's visible people and before Pharaoh with his New Age magicians. This is the same rod of iron that will be recognized as the authority by which the immortalized sons of God will subsequently rule the nations of the earth:

Rev. 2:26 He who overcomes, and he who keeps my deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; 27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken to pieces, as I also have received authority from My Father.

But here is where the story gets interesting and develops connection with what we last wrote on Serpent Wisdom. Moses wants some way to validate his authority when he goes back to God's people to stir them to the final hope for deliverance. "How will they believe me?" he asks. And so God focuses attention on the staff. He tells Moses to throw it on the ground, and it immediately turns into a snake!

Ex. 4:2 The LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?" And he said, "A staff." 3 Then He said, "Throw it on the ground." So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.

Moses is naturally scared of this snake. So let's get what this is prophetically saying. We already saw in the last discussion why God used the snake at all. This is to be God's way to say that He will out-serpent the serpent. What is more important at the moment is to see Moses' first response and God's follow up instruction.

At the sight of the snake, Moses turns tail and runs! He didn't get it at first, just as we have not. Moses was naturally afraid of the snake. Moses did not want to be associated with the snake. He knew the snake is dangerous and poisonous. Firstly, to the degree Moses felt aligned with the Hebrews, he did not want to be associated with the snake, the emblem of lucifer. Secondly, to the degree he remembered his past alignment with Pharaoh's court, he wanted no memory of having been part of that court.

What does this prophetically tell us about the end-time Moses company? At first revelation of Christ and seeing what is to be their rod of authority turned into a snake, the Moses fear reaction shows us that today's new Moses company is going to realize they are going to have to get into the nitty gritty of confronting lucifer, and they won't want to do it. They will be afraid by association, which was the point of our last article. God's Moses company will have to engage serpent wisdom en route to achieving His deliverance for His people from this world commercial system.

What next then from the Lord?

4 But the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail "-so he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand.

What??? Picking up a snake by the tail is the most dangerous way to pick up a snake! If you are going to pick up a snake, you have to grab it behind the head so that it can't wheel around to bite you! So this command only made the situation logically worse for Moses. Nevertheless, in faith Moses overcomes common sense and heeds the voice of the fiery bush to grab the snake tail, whence it immediately returns to a rod. It is the same command we are to heed when the Lord tells us we are to pick up serpents and not be afraid:

Mk. 16:18 they will pick up serpents, and it will not hurt them.

All of this is telling us that on engaging God's revelatory call to deliverance for the first time, the elect Moses leadership are going to have to immediately reconcile themselves to having to deal head on with lucifer, whether they started out in the world of the sacred or the secular before their exile. The Moses company must understand the greater cosmic wisdom battle for which they have been called to serve as the human touch point, and not fear that engagement.

            The Elders

When Moses at last returns to Egypt, he first goes to the elders of Israel to make his presentation. So who are these "elders" today?

The elders in this story represent the leadership of the end time prophetic church still mentally enslaved to seeking political solutions to ease their relationship with Pharaoh. This is the leadership that has gone along with Egypt to get along, never envisioning an actual deliverance from it. This is the visible corporate church that originally rejected the Moses prophetic in the first place and betrayed him in face of his having killed the Egyptian on their own behalf.

The corporate church has been too used to its enslavement in Egypt to ever appreciate what the young Moseses have tried to do to deliver the church from Egypt. The corporate church has retained its coerced loyalty to Egypt at the expense of its truest prophets of deliverance.

And so this is what will happen in days to come. God is nearing in readiness to send the long outcast wilderness prophets back to the church still under Egyptian bondage, only now the bondage has become so much more unbearable in the last 40 years that the prominent leaders of the church will at last be ready to receive back the Moses prophetic and receive the evidences of their authority in the Father's new revelation meant for their deliverance.

Right now, it is still hard to imagine what this uniting of Moses to the church will look like. But what it will certainly do is restore the "masculine authority" of the truth-based apostolic / prophetic back to the church, of which we have written much regarding this mystery of spiritual gender. The eldership marked by the pastoral is going to finally take a back seat to the leadership of the apostles and prophets.

The church is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, not on the foundation of the pastors! That was never meant to be. But it is here at this critical place in end-times history under Egypt's pressures, where the pastor-led church has finally proven its inadequacy for confronting the world system, that the rightful role of the Moses people as the churchs foundational authorities will be restored. And that will be a role reversal of historic proportions extending back to the days of the first apostles.

Something also key to this Moses-class presentation is that the extant church leadership under the world system will at last be persuaded to end their love affair with Egyptian identity and security. We have been especially writing here in America about Gods demand that the church start losing her identity and sense of security with respect to this nation.

Until Moses shows up on the scene, the eldership of the Egyptian church is largely governed by the backward vision for the restoration of the "times of Joseph," ie, the time when the Hebrews were favored in Egypt and one of their own practically ran the whole country! That was 400 years earlier.

Sound familiar? It should. For to this time, the American church has continued to be governed by a backward vision for restoration of "the times of the forefathers" when the church held such influence and authority in the land. Again, that was 400 years ago. But as the pressure under Egypt increases, the church will finally be brought to change its tune, and will realize with the Moses prophetic's "return from exile" that God is not going to restore America as we knew it to any of its former glory.  Significantly, even culture prophets and "seven mountainists" like Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets are now starting to realize God is not going to "restore" America as it once was known. It is too far gone for that.

No. Instead, under the power of the new revelation introduced by the returned Mosaic authority, the western church will understand and accept that God is not taking the the church back to a happier time of union with the nations, but is "calling my son out of Egypt" for good! At last, people are going to realize they are to be delivered from Egypt and from Babylon, even as the returning son of God and His immortals establish the manifest kingdom, ruling what will remain of the nations with that rod of iron.

            Standing Before Pharaoh

Once the church finally engages the revelation of God's plan for deliverance from the world system, the direct contest between the Moses people and the serpent power of Egypt will get underway in earnest. It is here that we will at last see the direct confrontational power of the spirit of Elijah against the Ahabs, Jezebels and Nebuchadnezzars of the earth. This is sampled in Revelation 11 in the power of the two witnesses. We have never seen that power in our generations. No one living can remember a time when a leader of the true holy community of faith held any serious clout with any world ruler.

The conflict between the Moses people and the world commercial system's rulers will be intense. In course of the conflict, the system's pressures on the church will only increase in the immediate term, not lessen. This will in turn put the Moses company under great pressure from the church, as Moses endured the backlash from the people over the bricks without straw. But the pattern is true. All of these things will be contributing toward the translation of the Moses people themselves.  For a complete study of the conflict between the Moses company and the Pharaoh leadership over the world system, see the remarkable treatise by brother Earls, Let My People Go.

            The Two Raisings

As said earlier, we are only touching on some of the most prominent story elements between the burning bush and the night of Exodus. I however want to close this article only by pointing out the importance of the parallel raising of both the end times Moses company and the end times Pharaoh world leadership.

            Paul quoting Exodus 9:16 says,

Rom. 9:17 For the Scripture says to pharaoh, "for this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My Name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth."

What is the focus of this statement? Is it on Pharaoh, or is it on something else? It is on something else. It is on the Lord's purpose to make His own name great by displaying His own power against Pharaoh and his snake-infested culture.

Well, how was God intending to display this power? Answer: He was intending to display His power by raising up Moses!

The only reason for the raising up of Pharaoh is Gods ultimate objective to raise up of His Moses leadership and the calling out of His people from Egypt. God's ultimate objective throughout the history-long raising up and knocking down of kings has been for the process for raising up both His Son and after Him the raising up of His People to the full stature of His Son.

The Son of God is the conqueror of lucifer. In the  same way, God's people were destined as His helpmeet companion to be raised up to conquer lucifer as well. To this effect, God said He would make known His wisdom to the principalities of the air through His church. As also we said long ago, it has been all about bringing many sons to glory.

            Start Looking For Moses!

So what is the takeaway from all this now in these times of increasing economic and political angst?

Here is the takeaway: Church, stop looking at Pharaoh, and start looking for Moses!

The Egyptian church and her "elders" are alarmed at Pharaoh's increasing hostility. Today's New Testament "Hebrews" mired in generational Egyptian culture continue entreating God to get Pharaoh to treat us better. The prophetic elders are praying the Lord to influence Pharaoh's court system to turn things around. The elders are lobbying the throne of heaven to get God to return things to the way they were under Joseph.

"My fellow 'Hebrews,'"  this is not going to happen. And we are looking in the wrong direction for deliverance. We are looking backward in time when God says to look forward. We are looking at Pharaoh when God says start looking for Moses.

Throughout this increasingly tumultuous societal instability that gives no slack despite all our praying and activism, we need to start realizing God is the one raising up Pharaoh for this very confrontation and conflict. He has raised up Pharaoh's oppressive commercial system because His real purpose is to raise up Moses, turn our hearts as the "Hebrew" nation to its true leaders, get us to give up our "Egyptian Historical Preservation Society" mindset and start Preparing for world Exodus under great displays of God's judgmental power.

            Why?

"For the hour of His judgment is come!"

            That's why.

And as a parting shot, for those worked up right now about the American elections, get this one thing for sure:

After it is all said and done, God will hilariously trump Pharaoh.
